What You’ll Need to Start
Before beginning your number transfer, collect the following from your current provider:
- Account Number (usually on your bill or in your online account)
- Transfer PIN/Password (required by most carriers to authorize the switch)
- Billing ZIP Code on file with your current carrier
- Your current phone number

How to Transfer Your Number to Gov Free Phone?
Step 1 – Log In to Your Account
Go to Login Page and sign in or create an account.
Step 2 – Navigate to “Transfer Your Number”
Inside your dashboard, select the option to begin transferring your number.
Step 3 – Enter Your Porting Info
Provide the number you want to keep, along with your previous carrier’s:
- Account Number
- PIN/Password
- ZIP Code
➡️ Do not cancel your current phone service until the transfer is complete.
Step 4 – Wait for Processing
- Transfers usually take 1–2 business days
- You’ll receive a confirmation email or text when your number is successfully moved
- You can also check your Application Status
Step 5 – Activate & Enjoy
